Terms and Conditions
The purpose of this policy is to establish the terms and conditions under which the tutor will provide educational tutoring services to the student and educational advice regarding ideas and resources to help enhance learning at home. The educational services provided will be delivered online or in-person and will be tailored to suit the individual needs of each student. EmpowerEd will not be held liable for unmet academic grades or progress or unsuccessful practices following advice given as other factors can also impact this beyond the tutor's control.
Services and Safety
The scope of services expand to private and/or group sessions related to literacy learning. Lessons or classes will last between 30 minutes and 4 hours and this time frame will be selected during time of booking. The tutor can be contacted anytime via the appropriate platforms but will respond within their available hours Monday to Friday. Tutors will give notice of holidays or days off and reserve the right to reschedule any sessions due to illness or emergency. Pay rates are set and agreed at time of booking and payment must be made prior to the lesson commencing. Travel fees and a minimum number of hours for in-person lessons may be applicable depending on location. Pay rates may increase and existing customers will have a notice period for this. EmpowerEd has a no payment, no lesson rule. A receipt will be issued upon payment. Parent/Carers are responsible for the supervision and safety of their child during both online and in-person sessions and should be within sight and sound of their child at all times.
Booking, Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
If the client needs to cancel or reschedule for private lessons, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee. If a student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without any notice or notice less than 12 hours, the full session fee will be charged.
GROUP LESSONS PACKAGE BUNDLE CANCELLATION POLICY

All packages must be paid in full at checkout via Wix Payments. Purchasing a package grants a set of scheduled sessions. Packages can be refunded up to seven days after purchase if no sessions have been attended already. Once the first session has been attended, the bundle will be non-refundable. If the session is cancelled due to illness or emergency, the session will be rescheduled for a 'make up' session.
