Local libraries are FREE and offer a range of books within different reading levels. Do some research about potential Authors and books that might interest your child before you go.

I LOVE to borrow books from the library for my students and take a selection along for them to choose from during lessons. Children enjoy having autonomy over their own learning - books are a way for them to have fun and learn more about their interests!

FREE 30 Minute Meet and Greet

At EmpowerEd children and families of children learning at grades Prep - 10 are invited to meet Chloe, an experienced Literacy teacher, for a Meet and Greet. This initial session helps you get to know Chloe and what she provides. Your child will play games, ask/answer questions and be encouraged to showcase their fantastic skills. After this, an individualised learning plan will be created based on your child's areas of need. The Learning Plan will underpin each session your child books onto.

EmpowerEd offers three main services. These include private/group lessons in literacy skills for levels equivalent to grades prep to 6, home-school or homework help check ins/ weekly plan creator and weekly book club. Private lessons and Home-school check ins/weekly home-school plan sessions are offered both IN-PERSON and ONLINE. Group lessons and book-club sessions are solely created and delivered through this online community.

Following the initial online FREE 30 minute education assessment and a discussion with myself (Chloe), students/families can choose a service that suits them and their needs.

Hi, I'm Chloe.

I am a Certified Teacher and Literacy Tutor here at EmpowerEd. My vision for creating this inclusive space has stemmed from my desire to make a difference in education whilst allowing children to flourish in a way that is truly unique to them through tailored and individualised learning plans. I can adapt my plans for all students, with a strong focus on neurodiverse and home-school children.

With a First Class Honours degree in English Language and Linguistics (with my dissertation topic being on the language of children with autism), I further honed my skills through my Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education and I have experience as a class teacher in grades throughout the primary years, secondary special needs school and online. I hold a valid Queensland Teacher Registration, Disability Worker Card, Level 3 TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, First aid certificate and a Working with Children Check (WWCC).

I'm dedicated to empowering young learners from all backgrounds and abilities, helping them reach their fullest potential. Check out the unique services I provide on my page.
